Dr. Adi Yoskovitch is a board certified Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck Surgeon with fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. In his clinic, which is situated in Laval, Dr. Yoskovitch uses a variety of the latest medico-aesthetic products, including botulinum toxin (Botox®).
Botulinum toxin (Botox®) is a neurotoxin that specifically targets the neuromuscular junction thereby causing muscles to relax. As a result of the muscle relaxation, the patient can expect a smoother and energized overall look. But did you know that botulinum toxin (Botox®) can be used both for cosmetic and therapeutic reasons?
On one hand, botulinum toxin (Botox®) can be used to treat the fine lines and wrinkles in the area between the eyes, known as the glabellar region in addition to the forehead region. Botulinum toxin (Botox®) can also be used to treat the wrinkles around the eyes which are known as the crow’s feet, raise the corner of the brows as well as fine wrinkles over the lip. Dr. Yoskovitch also makes use of treating dimpling in the chin area and banding in the neck using botulinum toxin (Botox®). At Dr. Yoskovitch’s clinic, the jaw muscles can also be addressed using botulinum toxin (Botox®).
On the other hand, botulinum toxin (Botox®) can be used for a variety of therapeutic reasons. Dr. Yoskovitch uses botulinum toxin (Botox®) for the treatment of migraines, hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating as well as stiff neck. Using botulinum toxin (Botox®), the specific muscles around the sweat glands can be targeted thus significantly decreasing sweating in the underarm areas, as well as in the palms of the hands, the forehead and scalp regions, the breast cleavage area and the feet.
